A California hair restoration surgeon is launching her new Facebook page by giving away a free hair transplant procedure.
Sara Wasserbauer, MD, said keeping up a digital presence and running a sought-after competition was a good way of launching her Facebook page.
"Many people experience hair loss," explained the Walnut Creek practitioner. "This promotion is something I've wanted to do for a while and Facebook allows me the perfect platform to give away a pro bono hair transplant procedure like this.
To have a chance at winning the treatment, members of the page simply have to explain on the Wall how hair transplant treatment would affect their life. Dr Wasserbauer said anyone experiencing hair loss – male or female – is invited to take part.
The page was launched on 13 September and people have until 1 November to make their case. After that date, three finalists will be selected and the finalists' stories will be posted to the Facebook page for one week for the public to vote on who should receive the free hair transplant, worth $12,500.
"I’m looking forward to reading the stories and helping a deserving patient achieve improvement with their hair loss."
