Even though we are in the midst of a credit crunch - house prices are falling, jobs are being lost and we are being told we are heading towards a possible recession - we are still spending as much this year as we did last year on looking good.

Even though we are in the midst of a credit crunch - house prices are falling, jobs are being lost and we are being told we are heading towards a possible recession - we are still spending as much this year as we did last year on looking good.

Furthermore, we are actually spending considerably more money now than we've ever done before on the prevention of hair loss.

High street surveys carried out show that most of us are spending on average £36-£40 a month on beauty products.

A large proportion of this money is spent on hair care products and not just products to colour, highlight or tint hair. Hair loss prevention products are becoming increasingly sought-after.

It can sometimes be difficult to find effective hair loss products but the figures demonstrate that people are continuing to search for their ideal hair loss solution.

Men seem to be the main consumers of hair loss products - perhaps because of the stigma associated with male pattern baldness, or perhaps to copy the hairstyles of their movie and football idols.
