Ryan Giggs's energetic performances on the pitch belie his 36 years and the football star has recently received treatment to have his hairline do the same.
The Manchester United and Wales star – who has appeared 588 times for his club – has been undergoing a specialist laser treatment to halt the his hair's backward march.
Giggs is thought to have shelled out £6,000 for the treatment at the Advanced Hair Studio in Salford, Greater Manchester, which has involved laser sessions of 40 minutes every week that stimulate regrowth in hair follicles.
He was pictured this week leaving the exclusive studio carrying what appeared to be a progress report.
He is also said to be using twice-daily shampoo capsules to help with the treatment.
A source close to the club said: "Some of the lads have been teasing Giggsy, saying he seemed to be gaining hair rather than losing it. Now he's been rumbled!"
The father of two is not the first sportsman to try to retain his youthful hairline, with include cricketer Graham Gooch and rugby player Austin Healey also having had the same treatment.
And he's not alone on his team either. Wayne Rooney – 13 years Giggs's junior – has apparently been seeking treatment through lotions and tablets to combat his hairloss.
